Javed Miandad urges PCB to stop bothering about playing with India

Pakistan want to host cricket tours again

PCB asks players to return from CPL county cricket

Miandad believes that instead of bothering about playing cricket with India, the Pakistan board needs to focus on improving domestic cricket in its country.

Pakistan cricketers, now involved in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2017 and English domestic season, have been asked to cut short their participation in the wake of late finalisation and rescheduling of the upcoming ICC World XI series.

Speaking after being named PCB chairman for the next three years, Najam Sethi expressed hope that next month's proposed World XI tour in Pakistan would be the first step towards the return of worldwide cricket.

Pochettino promises Spurs spending before transfer window shuts
The club, which came in second in the Premier League last season, ensuring a Champions League spot for the days to come, are the only team from the Premier League to have not signed a player in the summer window so far.

Pakistan's deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had appointed Sethi as member of the board of governors last month. He said that the decision to hold PSL final in Karachi next year after the Lahore final could prove pivotal in establishing Pakistan's image as safe country for the game.

Miandad added that newly-elected PCB chairman Najam Sethi should appoint former or first-class cricketers as presidents of regions, associations and zones in order to improve the game in the country. Amid this tight schedule, the PCB announced a National T20 Championship running from August 25 to September 10.

However, a series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka scheduled for September and October is still likely to be played in the UAE.

USA has been conducting back-channel talks with North Korea for months
The regime's recent military tests reveal that the entire continental U.S. with the exception of Florida may be in range of North Korean missiles.

"The series has been brought forward to mid-September because the Punjab government wants it to be held before the NA120 election on September 17".

As part of the revival of global cricket in Pakistan, the PCB is also planning to host a Twenty20 series against a World XI in Lahore.

The players have been asked to report to head coach Mickey Arthur at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on August 22 for fitness and medical screening followed by participation in the national T20 tournament and preparatory camp under the supervision of the Pakistan team management.
