Leo DiCaprio set to star in the Leonardo da Vinci biopic

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play artist Leonardo da Vinci in an upcoming biopic.

According to Deadline, Paramount and Universal had a bidding war over the film rights to a new book by Walter Isaacson called Leonardo da Vinci. The project comes through DiCaprio's Appian Way, which has a first-look deal at Paramount, and the actor and his president of production Jennifer Davisson will be serving as producers.
