The contacts are being held regularly between Joseph Yun, the USA envoy for North Korea policy, and Pak Song Il, a senior North Korean diplomat at Pyongyang's United Nations mission, according to US officials and others briefed on the process cited by the AP. But Trump said Friday that millions of Americans support their president "sticking up" for the US and its allies.

Trump says he has yet to speak with the governor of the territory, but says, "I feel that they will be very safe, believe me".

President Donald Trump says North Korea's leader will "regret it fast" if he threatens or acts against Guam, or any other US territory or ally.

Lavrov said the risks of a military conflict over North Korea's nuclear program are very high and Moscow is deeply anxious by the threats from Washington and Pyongyang. "Trump is a risk to his country and the entire world".

Iran Parliament ratifies motion to counter US' 'terrorist' acts
The Parliament ratified the motion prepared by the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in July. Sanctions against Iran is mainly in response to Tehran's growing missile programme.

Trump's latest comments were a continuation of days of incendiary rhetoric, including his warning on Tuesday that the United States would unleash "fire and fury" on Pyongyang if it threatened the United States and Thursday's comments warning of grave consequences if North Korea carried out its Guam plans. Russia's foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov, estimated the risk of a military conflict between the US and North Korea as "very high", and said Moscow is deeply concerned. And reacting to the question if Germany would stand with the USA in the case of a war, she replied that she doesn't consider it "necessary". She called on the U.N. Security Council to continue to address the issue.

They said that increased military spending should be matched by humanitarian aid, crisis prevention and diplomacy.

Cicilline said Trump "has made a unsafe situation even worse by recklessly asserting that the United States is "locked and loaded" to bring "fire and fury" to North Korea".

The United States and South Korea remain technically at war with North Korea after the 1950-53 Korean conflict ended with a truce, not a peace treaty. Meanwhile, Russia, China and Germany voiced dismay at the escalating rhetoric from Pyongyang and Washington. He added that "when it comes close to fight, the one who is stronger and wiser should be the first to step back from the brink". Pyongyang tested a missile last month which it said could reach America, and USA officials have claimed Kim Jong-un has developed a nuclear warhead small enough to be loaded inside such an intercontinental weapon.

"Forming a new party is one of the options to which a serious thought is being given", said Vijay Verma, a senior JD (U) leader. Two former JD-U legislators, including former minister Ramai Ram and Rambadan Rai, were also in the crowd.

Trump, vacationing at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf resort, kept up the war of words and again referenced North Korea's leader in his latest bellicose remarks toward Pyongyang this week. State-run media ensures that the population gets the North Korean side of the story, but doesn't convey any sense of global concern about the situation. U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis later sought to temper Trump's harsh words by saying the United States still preferred a diplomatic approach to the North Korean threat.

At a park in central Pyongyang Friday evening, young people practiced volleyball and grandparents and parents watched children on climbing frames and swings.

Trump said he was going to speak to Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday about the deepening crisis with North Korea. -South Korean military exercise, called Ulchi-Freedom Guardian, is expected to go ahead as scheduled and will start on August 21, said Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Logan, a Pentagon spokesman.

Earlier, Merkel had warned against the use of military, and made it clear that Germany would only be engaged itself non-militarily.

That is what I was always doing. "So how does it change something for me? It's just like it is". The first was good, the second unlucky but the third goal was offside.

"I consider an escalation of rhetoric the wrong answer", Merkel said at a press conference on migration in Berlin.
