Ex-GOP Senator Calls Trump 'Sick Of Mind' And Asks Congress to Dump Him

Parsing Tough Rhetoric On North Korea 15:00 Download

China condemned Trump's approach and warned him against "playing with fire" over North Korea.

According to the White House, Trump and Xi affirmed that the recent adoption of a new UN Security Council resolution regarding North Korea was an important and necessary step toward achieving peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. However, if Washington chose to strike first and attempt to overthrow the government in Pyongyang, China will stop them.

The former senator also hit out at the president's rhetoric on North Korea over the past few days, which he said was exacerbating tensions between the two nations.

According to worldwide human rights lawyer Curtis Doebbler, this would be a "very unfortunate" scenario. The president's "reckless, ad-libbed threat to a nuclear-armed North Korea has put the entire world on edge".

Modi, who was not only the first chairman of the IPL , but is also said to be the father of the money spinning format of cricket. The Supreme Court has ticked him off too for his involvement in Indian cricket and has also asked him to stay away.

"I don't think he's abandoned his base on foreign policy", former Washington State Republican Chairman Kirby Wilbur told us.

There have been other such cleanup actions, and there will inevitably be more, as Trump's advisers try to convey to the world a perverse message: Rest assured, sleep well - and pay no attention to the president's yammering.

However, he added, a "limited pinpoint use of the latest kind of technology" by the United States can't be ruled out completely. They know North Korea's military options are highly limited. But they have intensified since one intelligence agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, issued an unsubstantiated report last Tuesday that North Korea could fit miniature nuclear warheads onto its missiles.

Defence officials and military analysts say any new conflict with North Korea would likely escalate to the use of nuclear weapons, though it is not likely that there will be an actual conflict.

Guam residents stoic in the face of North Korean missile threat
With liberals back in charge in South Korea, Seoul is making peace offerings to its archrivals, but the North isn't biting. The rockets are supposed to land in the sea about 30 km (17 miles) from Guam, if the plan is approved by Kim Jong-un.

Trump's warning came after the North Korea threatened to fire ballistic missiles over Japan towards the US Pacific island of Guam.

"Surprisingly perhaps, in this case, Trump himself has been relatively consistent..."

And 60 lawmakers, marshalled by Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., a Korean War veteran, sent an urgent letter on August 10 to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, supporting his direct-negotiations approach and urging him to rein Trump in.
