UFC Fight Night 116 Results: Luke Rockhold Returns, Finishes David Branch
Bisping defends his middleweight title against GSP this November. At the conclusion of Saturday's live main card on TSN2, the live UFC FIGHT NIGHT POSTFIGHT SHOW airs at approximately 1 a.m. ET, recapping all the exciting action.
In the night's main event, former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold returns to action against former two-division World Series of Fighting titleholder David Branch. He pressed Rockhold against the fence momentarily.
Branch put the pressure on immediately. With Branch unable to dislodge Rockhold, the referee ended the fight as Rockhold continued to rain down strikes. The overhand right was a threat from David Branch as he looked to tag Rockhold.
He relentlessly hammered Branch with vicious ground and pound until he was left a broken man. Branch eventually tapped giving Rockhold the submission victory via strikes in the second round.

In the first half, Johnson connected with eight different targets and completed 12 of his 17 pass attempts for 130 yards. SC wide receiver Deebo Samuel has a broken led and will miss the remainder of the current season.
Branch again came out the aggressor in the second, but Rockhold took him on in the grappling department with overwhelming success. That led the jiu-jitsu-trained Rockhold to take him to the ground. He was able to take Branch down and moved to mount. He quickly got one hook in, and as Branch gave up his back, he began unloading heavy right hands from the top.
With that, Luke Rockhold was back in the win column and back in the title hunt.
