Apple inks content deal with Spielberg, NBCUniversal

Steven Spielberg, Apple Team Up to Revive Amazing Stories

The series would be produced for Apple by Spielberg's Amblin Television and Comcast Corp's NBCUniversal television production unit.

Though Apple has not confirmed the deal, it is reported the tech company will order 10 episodes of the Amazing Stories reboot as they expand their original video content. Spielberg is expected to executive produce the series alongside Bryan Fuller.

Each episode will sport a sumly $5 million dollar budget, suggesting the eps will be as epic as most of those in the original run. Much like Rod Serling's show and The Outer Limits, each episode was a standalone story with a fantasy, horror, or science fiction theme. The show won five Emmy Awards during its two-year span.
