Chester Bennington’s last interview has dropped
One of the last things Chester Bennington did before he tragically took his own life on July 20 was to film an episode of Apple Music'sCarpool Karaoke with his Linkin Park bandmates. The episode was not initially set to air out of respect for Bennington's wife and family, but it was finally decided it was time to see the fun-filled and enjoyable show starring the late singer.
Corden's message was appreciated by Bennington's widow, Talinda - who thanked him for his words on Twitter. The Apple Music series is inspired by the viral segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden and is normally only available to Apple Music subscribers, but Linkin Park chose to release their episode to the public in honor of Bennington. His death was ruled a suicide by hanging by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
The bittersweet episode, which was taped a week before 41-year-old Benningtoncommitted suicide, opens with Jeong getting into the front seat of the vehicle and asking if he can join the rock band. He went on to send his thoughts and prayers to Bennington and his family and friends. The band has said they will donate all earnings generated from the concert to charity.
