India Consumer Price Inflation Steady In September
Meanwhile, Core CPI rose 0.1% month-over-month in September, below the prior month's reading of 0.2%, and below expectations of 0.2%.
Consumer prices edged up 0.2 percent on a monthly basis in September after edging up 0.1 percent in August, the office said.
Much of the rise was due to a sharp rise in gasoline prices. Prices for food at home were unchanged, while food away from home grew 0.3%.
