A real-world image of a Destiny player waiting for their milestones to reset
Since Destiny 2's release last month many players have enjoyed exploring the world and interacting in all that it has to offer, but some fans have recently complained that the endgame content isn't enough to keep even the most committed fans engaged in the game. Because of this, we are pushing the fix off to a later date. According to Destiny 2's community manager, Chris "Cozmo" Shannon, Bungie has a system in place which can verify whether a raid team has completed a "clean finish".
"The Prestige Raid will still begin on October 18 at 10AM Pacific [6pm United Kingdom time]". Cozmo continued writing that, 'We can now detect if any teams use this exploit to gain an advantage.
"Does that mean you are delaying Prestige Raid again?" Although they didn't give any details, they did say that they will further discuss their plans to address the problem in a more in depth manner soon. Bungie has been working on a fix, but it's short-term solution doesn't resolve the issue to its satisfaction. This will take some extra time to verify, but we will be able to crown the winners with the confidence they deserve.' Phew.
Cozmo also revealed that the studio will share more details about Raid Challenges next week. The Challenges "have been created to make you rethink familiar encounters", according to Cozmo.

The harder Prestige version of the raid was originally scheduled to arrive this week, but was pushed back seven days so Bungie could fix an exploit.
If you played the Destiny 2 beta on PC, you'll probably notice that these final PC requirements are exactly the same as the ones for the beta test. For folks in Europe, the PC version will go live in the evening of October 24, while the game will unlock for Australia and much of eastern Asia in the early morning hours of October 25.
