Spacey cut from film after misconduct claim

But he will now be replaced by Christopher Plummer in scenes which must be quickly reshot in time for the release date.

The film also stars Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams in key roles and the duo are believed to return for reshoots. Interestingly, Plummer was the original choice for the part but studio bigwigs wanted a bigger name. Plummer won an Oscar for his work on Beginners. Scott made the decision to recast Spacey from All the Money in the World in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations brought against the actor by multiple people.

After sexual assault allegations were made against Spacey last week, All the Money in the World was pulled from its November 16 premiere at AFI Fest in Los Angeles. Ms. Unruh said her son panicked and froze while Spacey insisted he come with him to a private after-hours party to drink with him.

Meanwhile, more allegations continue to emerge against Spacey, the latest from former United States news anchor Heather Unruh, who claims that Spacey plied her 18-year-old son with alcohol at a restaurant in 2016, before grabbing his genitals.

Netflix also recently announced that it has canned a planned biopic of Gore Vidal, which was also set to star Spacey, as well as axing him from "House of Cards".
