Prakash Raj Actors turned politicians are a disaster for country
Prakash Raj was recently in the news for demanding an apology from the Centre on demonetisation. While speaking at a meeting organized by Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), Raj said that he can tell when those in power were "acting".
"Hasn't this been happening for quite some time?" Wasn't Aamir Khan removed as brand ambassador? Wasn't he removed from being an ambassador? "My commercials are being stopped too", he stated. My commercials are being stopped too. But at a press conference in Bangalore on Sunday, he said he has no such plans putting an end to rumours.
The trend of intolerance, he said, has become stronger lately. "You have passed a cow slaughter act, yes, but you kill someone just o n suspicion?" Just because you have doubts, you kill somebody. Are you a representative of this country? Mr Raj suggested that there is a "silent majority" of people who have realised what he called their "mistake" in voting for the BJP. They should come up with a clear focus on issues facing the country and win the trust of the people.
However, many netizens seem to not agree with Prakash Raj's opinion on actors joining politics.
The award-winning actor, had, last month, criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence on the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bengaluru.
According to the Newspaper,"Before I vote, I look at the promises made by a party in the manifesto and what solutions it proposes to solve pressing issues."Prakash Raj said that he is awaiting Kamal Haasan's manifesto before he can decide on whether to vote for him or not.The "Singham" star said, "If one wants to rule Tamil Nadu, he must be known to its people".
