Atletico Madrid contact Arsenal contract rebel Mesut Ozil about sensational return to Spain next summer for nothing
Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez emerged as one of the top transfer targets for Manchester United, according to various reports coming from British press.
It has been claimed that Mourinho is a big admirer of the 22-year-old, who would reportedly be open to a move to the Red Devils. The 20-year-old has impressed for the Hornets this season, having joined for £11.5m from Fluminense in the summer - scoring twice and providing two assists in 11 league games.
Niguez has a £134million buyout clause in his contract but the Star predicts that he "could leave for less".
Atletico Madrid has already been in talks with Ozil to persuade him to move on to the summer, offering him a salary of £200,000 a week in addition to a separate sum for the initial signing.
'A World Cup without Italy is like pizza without cheese'
Ventura had made changes from Friday's defeat with Brazil-born Jorginho making his Italy debut and Alessandro Florenzi and Manolo Gabbiadini also handed starts, although Napoli's in-form winger Lorenzo Insigne was again left on the bench.
However, Ozil and his representatives reportedly asked Arsenal for a whopping £330,000-a-week deal, but with no takers among Europe's elite, he will have to climbdown from those numbers if he is serious about staying at the club or moving back to Spain.
The future of Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has been a long running saga, but today there is a new name in the frame to sign him.
A mammoth signing-on fee could swing talks in Atletico's favour and, after an 18-month transfer embargo for breaking Federation Internationale de Football Association rules over the transfer of under-age players, could have a sizable transfer fund burning a hole in their pocket.
