His resignation came following the elimination of the two films "Sexy Durga" and "Nude" from the final list of films. "What Sujoy Ghosh did is a correct thing".

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh known for films like Kahaani and Aladdin has resigned as the chief of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) after the controversy over removing two films - S Durga and Nude from the festival.

Film S Durga, which has been screened at many worldwide film festivals, exposes the reality of a misogynistic society and captures various encounters of a couple running away in the night. The film festival, that takes place in Goa every year, has been in the news for some of the films that the I&B Ministry has made a decision to drop from the final list of films that will be screened at the festival.

Now you know what! the youngest Nawab of Pataudi family Taimur Ali Khan has got a special gift from his father Saif Ali Khan . He added that Taimur would love the colour, so he would like to keep the vehicle for him.

Ghosh confirmed the news to Indian Express but refused to comment further on the issue.

Sexy Durga, which will release in theatres as S Durga, is a Malayalam film by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, while Nude is a Marathi movie by National Award-winning director Ravi Jadhav.

He said he is in shock and has not received any letter from the ministry about why "S Durga" did not make the cut. The film highlights the reality of a misogynistic society and how a couple encounters various instances of it while on the run. The film had been cleared by the jury as had been another film, Nude, which did not meet with the approval of the I&B mandarins. The makers of the movie were also forced to have 21 audio mutes by the board.

But I will file a case in the Kochi High Court", Sasidharan said. It is the story of survival of a young woman who works as a nude model.

Disapointed with this decision, Sasidharan has already sent an email to the ministry asking for the reasons behind the "arbitrary removal of the film" and demanding the screening of the movie selected by the jury. "I am really disappointed and shocked to hear that it has been dropped", he said. "Nobody informed me about the decision".
