Ja Du is transracial, meaning that he was born as a member of one race but identifies with a different one.

A man in Florida who was born white now identifies as Filipino as part of a reportedly growing "transracial" community.

The revision concedes Ja Du has him worrying how others will react to him living as a Filipino man, while insisting he wants people to understand he's honest.

Riding in a flamboyant purple vehicle, Ja Du shows up to a coffee shop to open up about his new identity.
