In a video, which has now gone viral, the man is seen approaching the elephant standing in the woods.
As the elephant finishes all the fruits in his hand, the animal puts forth its trunk, in a gesture asking for more bananas. He says repeatedly, "Don't go, the elephant will get mad". At first, it seems like he is trying to befriend the elephant by feeding it bananas, which it happily accepts.
"Don't do it, you are drunk, don't do it". But as he leans in for a second time, the elephant angrily flings him in the air. The animal, who was friendly initially, finally made a decision to retaliate with a show of strength of its own, by flinging the man in the air like a rubber ball. The man lands on his head with his body twisted over. The overenthusiastic teenager thought he had become very friendly with the tusker by offering him some food. "No, no, he's alive".
The man was reportedly knocked unconscious and was immediately rushed to hospital.
