The letter comes on behalf of former writer Audrey Wauchope, who described the trauma the female crew had to endure at the hands of Schwahn.
So far, 18 women who worked on the long-running teen drama - including principal cast members Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz - have come forward to not only publicly support Wauchope but also to shed light on Schwahn's behavior, which they claim was an "open secret" on set. The group wrote that they "have chosen this forum to stand together in support of Audrey Wauchope and one another" following statements in which Wauchope accused Schwahn of harassment without naming him.
In a candid letter published by Variety on Monday, the women allege that many of them were were "manipulated psychologically and emotionally" by the showrunner. Today they've made us all even more proud by standing as a beacon of what is right, and continuing to lead & change the atmosphere of society.

Schwahn made and officially created One Tree Hill - an arrangement that kept running for eight arrangement in the vicinity of 2003 and 2012 - and in addition The Royals. "So numerous individuals that made One Tree Hill, cast and crew, embody the virtues of the story we were trying to tell", he continued. He is now working on The Royals, and in a statement on Monday, the companies behind that series (E!, Universal Cable Productions, and Lionsgate Television) said, "We are monitoring the information carefully".
