South Korean media say an quake measuring magnitude 5.5 has hit off the country's southeastern coast.

So far, there have been no reports of fatal casualties with 7 minor injury cases as of 4:32 PM KST, but it seems the quake did take a toll on building exteriors, vehicles, and in some cases, indoors.

The tremors were felt all the way in the South Korean capital Seoul some 170 miles away.

South Korean President Moon Jae-In, on his way to Seoul after attending the Asean summit in Manila, is set to hold an emergency meeting upon arrival, his office said.
