- A proposed bill that would ban declawing cats was unanimously passed at a Denver City Council meeting in Colorado on Monday.

The measure was first introduced by Councilwoman Kendra Black.

Butler said she has chosen not to help with declawings anymore. Critics including developer Kyle Zeppelin say the issue distracts from more pressing issues in Denver, such as the affordable housing crunch.

Denver would join Los Angeles as the next major American city to ban this medical procedure.

The series, which is produced by Oso, will be comprised of 10 weekly episodes and is set to debut on November 20 , Deadline noted.

Declawing occurs in a procedure known as onychectomy.

But vets say they want the option to do so in case it's a health issue with the pet owner.

"A decision to declaw a cat is affected by many human and animal factors", said Andre, a practicing veterinarian.

Declawing, while it certainly stops cats from destroying furniture and rugs, removes the top third of a feline's digits.

Equities research analysts predict that Chesapeake Energy Corp. will post ($0.22) earnings per share for the current year. Marketing, gathering and compression is engaged in marketing, gathering and compression of oil, natural gas and NGL.

In the US, declawing is prohibited in the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Berkeley, Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, and Burbank.

The local impetus for a ban is Denver veterinarian Aubrey Lavizzo, the local leader of the Paw Project, who persuaded Black to push for it. Australia, Japan, Brazil, Israel and multiple countries in Europe also have similar bans.

A ban could potentially lower the number of cats in rescue shelters.

Denver is the first city outside of California to enforce a declawing ban.
