'No indication' Saudi coalition reopening Yemen ports

Yemen rebels vow escalation as Saudis look to relax blockade

Saudis Will Open Aid Deliveries to Some 'Loyal' Yemen Ports

Now, as per recent reports, Saudi Arabia has, on Monday, said that the Saudi-led coalition will begin to reopen the seaports and airports of the war-torn country. He said the flights would increase gradually over the coming days.

With the humanitarian situation getting much worse, it appears 2018 will be hard for Yemen as this historical land is plagued with war and disease for another year.

The ports were closed after Houthis attacked Riyadh near its global airport through a ballistic missile on November 4.

Transport minister Mourad al-Halimi had said Yemenia flights to the pro-government-held cities of Aden and Seiyun would resume on Sunday, but the national carrier said it did not have the necessary permits to fly.

One box was given to mankind, one to the Amazonians ( Wonder Woman's tribe), and one to the Atlanteans ( Aquaman's tribe). Let's hope the latter applies to Justice League when it opens November 17.

Air traffic in Sanaa's airport is now restricted to flights carrying humanitarian aid sent by the United Nations and other global organizations. The war has killed over 10,000 civilians, displaced 3 million people and left much of the country's infrastructure in ruins.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has repeatedly called on the Saudi regime to allow aid into Yemen, but they are often met with silence or excuses.

A Saudi-led coalition airstrike in Yemen's capital destroyed a navigation station at Sanaa airport, which is critical to receiving already limited aid shipments, local authorities capital said on Tuesday.

McGoldrick says access to such ports is "helpful" but that the key need is access to the rebel-held Red Sea ports of Salif and Hodeida, closer to large population centers.

Alabama, North Carolina Finalists for New Toyota/Mazda Plant
North Carolina is a finalist for a long-sought automotive plant to be built by Toyota and Mazda , according to multiple reports. Randolph County is in the process of expanding its site by rezoning 370 acres to add to the 1,500 acres that comprise the site.

Meanwhile, Aden's port - which is controlled by allies of Saudi Arabia - does not have the capacity, according to the United Nations, to handle the necessary volume of humanitarian cargo and would mean hazardous cross-line deliveries. In March 2015, the Saudi-led coalition of mostly Persian Gulf countries launched airstrikes against the Houthis at Hadi's request.

On Monday Saudi agreed to reopen ports in government controlled areas, but demanded extra security measures be put in place around the rebel controlled port of Hodeida.

Sammad said that with the blockade, the coalition "shut down all doors for peace and dialogue".

Initially, the ports Aden, Mocha, and Makulla will be opened as they are in areas under Yemen's internationally recognized government. And landing aid there would also involve having to cross front lines to deliver it.
