Sock Overcomes Cilic to Record First ATP World Tour Finals Win

Jack Sock has now won all three matches he has played against Marin Cilic
Sock showed the sort of fighting spirit that enabled him to win the Paris Masters title and sneak into the last Finals spot, getting back on serve when Cilic fired a forehand into the tramlines under pressure.
Sock was 3-0 down in the final set and looked exhausted and ragged for much of the match, but his touch, improvisation and fight didn't desert him.
Sock recovered from the disappointment of losing the first set in fine fashion breaking his opponent's opening service game to repeat the feat from the first set.
Cilic looked set to come out on top when he claimed the first mini-break of the tie-break, but Sock showed incredible athleticism to dart in and guide away a victor after a Cilic shot struck the net cord and he won five points in a row to seal a hard-fought victory.
The 25-year-old Sock fell behind 4-3 in the tiebreak but produced four straight points to win the match and improve to 3-0 all-time against Cilic.
Cilic is making his third appearance at the season finale, was looking to bolster his chances of making the semi-finals for the first time. "The fire alarm went off at 4am so it's been a long morning".
"Definitely disappointing in both matches in that third set, being in a good position, putting myself in a good position". It's an unbelievable atmosphere here and I love playing in London and in front of the fans here.
