However, the situation in the campus was peaceful, they said.
Murali said in his suicide note, "Exams are round the corner and I fear I will fail". I am unable deal with the curriculum and i am stressed out my mother, so I chose to leave this world. "I don't want to fail in the exams and hence, I am ending my life". Police added that the student seemed to be in depression over the matter and further investigations are now on.
The student's inability, allegedly, to cope with curriculum drove him to commit suicide on Campus. The Times of Indiareport added that unemployement was cited as a reason for the suicide by the student leaders. They allege that their is mismatch in handwriting.
However, his fellow students and some political activists claimed Murali had committed suicide because the Telangana government was delaying the issuance of a notification for government jobs. "The K Chandrasekhara Rao government should be held responsible for his death", K Manavatha Rai, president of the Unemployed Youth Association, was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times. Murali told his brothers to take care of his mother and wanted that the news of his suicide does not reach his mother.
Things took an ugly turn when the police apparently took action on students within the campus itself.
Police suspect that 21-year-old E Murali may have committed suicide at the Maneru Hostel after a bout of depression and examination pressure. They demanded monetary compensation for Murali's family.
