A couple of months back, Huawei launched the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones in Munich. Now, some new marketing material has recently been leaked that indicates Huawei is positioning the next Huawei P-series devices (likely the Huawei P11) to show even more major improvements in the camera department.
The leak comes from popular tipster Evan Blass via his twitter handle and he has posted a promotional image of the alleged Huawei smartphone. And yeah, like the predecessors, the Huawei P11 is also rumored to feature camera lenses made by Leica. The ads have not been officially published and the agency already removed them from its portfolio. Transitioning to a 24-megapixel front camera would be a significant step up from the P10.
Skirball Fire forces closure of the 405 in Los Angeles
Both were closed for the day, as was Santa Monica College and all schools in the Santa Monica-Malibu school district. The Creek fire in the Kagel Canyon area above Sylmar and the Hansen Dam Recreation area was reported at 3:42 a.m.
Blass claims that the "Huawei PCE Series" phone in question is the follow-up to the Huawei P10, assumed to be called the Huawei P11.
Huawei will also be taking a focus at low-light imaging as the picture also mentions a Pro Night Mode.
The cameras will also take advantage of the AI Camera Assist feature that helps with scene recognition, auto framing, and mode suggestions for the best results.
Huawei has worked with camera company Leica ever since last year's P9, giving it a serious edge over the likes of Apple's iPhone X and Samsung's Galaxy Note 8. We don't know what this entails exactly, but it is possible that Huawei's AI-powered tech might be capable of processing images on a per-scene basis, depending on what you're photographing, by cross-referencing your shot to a pre-existing database of other images and applying suitable changes automatically.
