Harvey Weinstein Too Broke to Pay Child Support

According to a new report, Harvey Weinstein and his estranged wife Georgina Chapman have agreed on a divorce settlement - and it will cost the disgraced movie mogul between $15 million and $20 million.
The Daily News previously reported Chilton's claim that Weinstein sought a stoppage, but the scope of the alleged financial forewarning wasn't clear.
Lawyers for Eve Chilton, Weinstein's first wife and the mother of his three older daughters, stated in court filings that their client had made the decision to undergo enforcement proceedings as a means of securing the $5 million she and her two youngest daughters will be owed in support payments over the next six years. 2 ruling in which her demand was denied.
"Harvey has always paid his child support and will continue to honor his obligations", said Ben Brafman, Weinstein's lawyer, "The claim about not paying for a year is nonsense". They're still dividing their marital assets, and have yet to legally file for divorce in court.
Her lawyers argued she and two of her three daughters with Weinstein were due the money under her 2004 divorce agreement - and that Weinstein shouldn't be allowed to spend it on legal bills tied to his downward spiral.
He was sacked from The Weinstein Company in the wake of blockbuster exposés in the New York Times and New Yorker, and multiple actresses have already filed lawsuits.
In the end, Judge Katz ruled that since Weinstein was up to date on payments and had yet to show any pattern of default, he was forced to rule against Chilton's motion.
Chilton worked as an assistant for Weinstein before their 17-year marriage.
"He's prepaying many, many lawyers many, many millions of dollars to defend himself against these lawsuits all over the world", Bonnie Rabin, Chilton's attorney, said in court in December, referring to the many allegations of sexual harassment and abuse against Weinstein by dozens of women. "(There) are lawsuits not in four to five states, but perhaps four to five countries".
Weinstein attorney Steven Silpe told the court Weinstein paid $850,000 to Chilton over the a year ago alone.
Despite the pending divorce between Harvey Weinstein and his Marchesa fashion designer ex Georgina Chapman, Chapman and Marchesa co-founder Keren Craig are moving forward with their fashion business without interruption, and their latest move proves it.
