Trump use slur for Africa. Haiti while talking about immigrants: sources

The president has been accused of questioning why the U.S. should accept more immigrants from Haiti and "s***hole countries" in Africa, during a meeting on immigration.

The American President has denied calling a number of countries "shitholes".

"What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made", Trump tweeted.

Just a day ago, Mr Trump praised North Atlantic Treaty Organisation nation Norway during a news conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Holberg. And it prompted senators who were present at the meeting to answer questions Friday about their recollections of the startling remarks.

Botswana has summoned the USA ambassador to ask whether the African nation is one of the "shithole countries" referred to by Donald Trump. "Take them out", a source told CNN's Jim Acosta. "Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!"

"He said these hate-filled things", Durbin said in an appearance at a MLK breakfast in Chicago.

The lawmakers had hoped he would back the accord, an agreement among six senators evenly split among Republicans and Democrats, ending a bitter dispute over protecting the "Dreamers".

Orioles and Manny Machado avoid arbitration
They could still trade him before or during the season, but their lineup is more unsafe with him as a part of it. Right-hander Kevin Gausman and second baseman Jonathan Schoop have yet to reach agreement on salaries for 2018.

Durbin said, "We have seven days and the clock is ticking".

He also told the AP that Trump wants to welcome immigrants who "contribute to our society, grow our economy and assimilate into our great nation, " and will always reject "temporary, weak and risky stopgap measures" that he says "threaten the lives of hardworking Americans" and undercut other immigrants.

Tweeted Republican Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona: "The words used by the president, as related to me directly following the meeting by those in attendance, were not 'tough, ' they were abhorrent and repulsive". Not just once but repeatedly.

Thursday's meeting came one day after Trump met with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg at the White House. "Why don't we get more people from Norway?" The White House strenuously denied it, and the fact that the story landed on December 23 helped it escape scandal proportions.

Trump's denial came among a series of other tweets in which he defended his immigration stance.

The governor, a close ally of Trump, frequently visits the president and lunched with him less than two weeks ago at Trump's Mar-A-Lago estate in Palm Beach.

The agreement among senators came as more than 100 corporate CEOs urged Congress to "act immediately and pass a permanent bipartisan legislative solution to enable Dreamers who are now living, working, and contributing to our communities to continue doing so".

Megyn Kelly backtracks after stunning fat-shaming remarks
Soon there were diet pills and obsessive exercise and I had reduced my calorie intake to 500 calories a day. What I know without a doubt is that weight is an issue for many individuals, thin and overwhelming alike.

Spokesman Raj Shah told the Associated Press in a statement that while "certain Washington politicians choose to fight for foreign countries, " Trump "will always fight for the American people". "I have relationships with people, I think you people are surprised".

Asked by a Wall Street Journal reporter to clarify whether he had spoken with Kim, he replied: "I don't want to comment, I'm not saying I have or I haven't". I want to fund our military, not do a Dem defund.

Taking a swipe at Democrats, he wrote, "Because of the Democrats not being interested in life and safety, DACA has now taken a big step backwards".

He also said: "Sadly, Democrats want to stop paying our troops and government workers in order to give a sweetheart deal, not a fair deal, for DACA. We should have more people from places like Norway", he is reported to have said.

He also seemed to suggest his willingness to consider comprehensive immigration reform, something that would be welcomed by Ireland, though he appeared to step back from the comments later in the week.

Any immigration deal would face hurdles winning congressional approval.

"Casual Friday at the White House is soon to include hoods and tiki torches at this rate", South African media outlet Daily Maverick says.
