HTC has started to roll out the stable version of the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update for one of its premium devices in India. Along with the Android 8.0 upgrade, the update also brings the Android Security patch of January 2018. Whether or not this was accidentally published, it is indeed a great news for Samsung smartphone users.
Hong-Kong based handset manufacturer Infinix launched Infinix Note 4 in India past year with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
HTC has rolled out this update to different regions with different firmware version as the device is packed with different specifications. LG started an Oreo rollout for the V30 a few weeks ago, and today that expands to the United States with an update for Verizon customers. Since it's a major Android update, it weighs a little high and for that reason, you have to be connected with high-speed Internet connection so it won't be interrupted in between the process.
"Android 8.0 Oreo update" and "system enhancements" were the only noted additions, however, we've already outlined what you can enjoy with Oreo in our review of the platform.
Always-on display along with Auto-fill are also included in Oreo update. Click the download button and start downloading the update for your HTC U Ultra smartphone. Suppose you want to send an e-mail or text message to someone while watching a Youtube video, you can now do that easily after the latest update.
Apart from this, you can even check for the new update manually for your device as well. For example, if you select an address, Oreo will offer you an option to look it up on Maps. Then click on the Check for the new update manually option given there.
