Twitter also went wild when Yates said Dumbledore wouldn't be "explicitly" gay in the new movie, despite Rowling revealing she always thought the character was gay in 2007.

Some fans were pretty disappointed to hear that Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald wouldn't touch on Dumbedore's sexuality, though. Dumbledore enlists his help to thwart Grindelwald, who agrees unaware of what it'll bring. The adventure reunites Newt with Tina, Queenie and Jacob, but his mission will also test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly unsafe and divided wizarding world. Zoƫ Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie and Poppy Corby-Tuech also star. The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.
