Katy Perry suffers wardrobe malfunction in 'American Idol' twerk battle

Fox doesn't admit it was trying to beat it's former ratings juggernaut but I think it's safe to say that had something to do with it. Unfortunately, however, Katy's enthusiasm got the best of her during a recent episode of the hit singing competition series when she made a decision to get up and dance while contestant Michelle Sussett sang Selena's 1994 single "Techno Cumbia".

Venezuelan singer, Michelle Sussett was all about turning up the energy in the room, as she told judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, "I consider myself a show-woman".

And Monday, she was finally standing before Perry at her NY audition, as the pop superstar joked about Mara's age. She performed Adele's "When We Were Young". Powerful vocalist, Christina Jones, wows the judges with a rendition of "The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me", too, and all three teen artists are through to Hollywood.

"American Idol" is back and its star power just went up a notch with Katy Perry leading the judges table. And Lionel hugged her.

Perry kept up with flirtatious attitude with a couple of other contestants who made it through to Hollywood, including one hopeful named William Casanova who said he "sells shoes to lovely women". After Casanova auditioned, Perry delivered his golden ticket wedged between her toes with her leg hiked onto the judges' desk. It was clear William was battling a case of nervous, but the judges had no complaints and decided on a unanimous "yes" to send him to Hollywood. We'll keep an eye on the two of them to see how far they go. As she was dancing, Perry lost her balance, taking a tumble and exposing herself to the judges in the process.

In his speech, Pence echoed Trump's description of the deal as "disastrous". But make no mistake about it: This is their last chance. In a statement on January 12, U.S.

But on Monday the Katy Perry-powered reboot faced its real rival - NBC's ratings juggernaut The Voice, with their secret weapon - lovable Idol alum Kelly Clarkson. They complied, but Katy slipped and fell.
