Sukhma Maoist attack reflects deteriorating internal security situation: Rahul

"The Maoist attack in Sukma, Chhattisgarh in which 9 CRPF jawans lost their lives is tragic".

The encounter started at 8 am on Tuesday between the elite Cobra forces, specially trained to tackle Maoist insurgency, in Kistram area of Sukma. From the injured, 3 are reportedly in critical condition. The CRPF jawans who were targeted by the rebels were from 212 battalion. "I bow to each and every security personnel who attained martyrdom while serving the nation", Singh wrote on Twitter.

The injured personnel were being rescued from the spot and airlifted to the State capital.
