Over 671,000 members of the Muslim Rohingya minority have fled Myanmar's western Rakhine state for neighboring Bangladesh since August 25, many bearing tales of atrocities committed by Myanmar's military, including executions, gang rapes, and the razing of homes and villages.

She said accountability for the abuses in Rakhine should be "the focus of the worldwide community's efforts to bring long-lasting peace, stability and democratization to Myanmar". "As far as the Myanmar situation is concerned, social media is Facebook, and Facebook is social media", Reutersquoted him saying.

The three experts of the United Nations fact-finding mission on Myanmar, who also addressed the human rights council about their ongoing investigation, were equally forthright in their condemnation.

"(Social media) has. substantively contributed to the level of acrimony and dissention and conflict, if you will, within the public a Hate speech is certainly of course a part of that", said Darusman.

Of the total fee, $575 million was paid for the stake in the Umm Shaif and Nasr concession, and $300 million for Lower Zakum. This is the first time an Italian energy company has been given concession rights in Abu Dhabi's oil and gas sector.

Facebook's response: In a statement issued to the BBC, the social network says that there is "no place for hate speech" on its pages, adding that it takes the claims "incredibly seriously" and will "continue to work with local experts to help keep our community safe".

Investigators from the United Nations are now looking into a potential - the investigators recently said they are "becoming more convinced" that a genocide occurred - genocide in Myanmar that happened between October 2016 and August 2017.

The UN has been denied access to Rahkine since late past year, so both Yee and the fact-finding mission have been forced to conduct their investigations in Cox's Bazaar in Bangladesh, where hundreds of thousands of Rohingya are now living in refugee camps.

Government spokesman Zaw Htay said the reports presented Monday by the Independent Fact-Finding Mission on Myanmar and U.N. Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Myanmar Yanghee Lee lacked credibility.

The Portuguese had stated then that it is high time that Old Trafford experienced a big Champions League night. Nemanja Matic struck home a gorgeous half-volley in added time for a remarkably good comeback.

"I'm afraid that Facebook has now turned into a beast, and not what it originally intended", she said.

The South Korean academic, who has been barred from visiting Myanmar, called for a UN-backed investigation based in Bangladesh. "The government leadership who did nothing to intervene, stop, or condemn these acts must also be held accountable". Much of the worldwide focus has been on the role of Aung San Suu Kyi in the campaign of violence. Last year, medical humanitarian group Médecins Sans Frontières said that at least 6,700 Rohingya were slain in Rakhine by "the most conservative estimations".

Facebook has not yet made any public comment on the charges yet.
