CDC: E coli outbreak sickens 17 in 7 states
The largest number of cases - six - is in New Jersey.
"CDC is not recommending that consumers avoid any particular food at this time", the organization's notice said.
This Tuesday, the CDC came out with a report stating that the source of the E. Coli outbreak has not yet been discovered. Restaurants and retailers are not advised to avoid serving or selling any particular food. The illnesses from Shiga toxin-producing E. coli O157:H7 has landed six people in the hospital.
