CBSE Class 10 Maths Paper 2018 Leak Solved, says Ram Gopal Naik, Delhi Crime Branch
In the light of the recent incident of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) paper leak, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) has constituted a High Powered Committee to examine the system of conducting Class X and Class XII examination to prevent leakages. The first case relating to the leak of the economics paper was filed on March 27, while the other on the mathematics paper leak was registered on March 28. "While Amit and Ashok took the computer science paper with them to the school on March 23, Rakesh Kumar clicked photos of the economics and mathematics papers". The police had on April 6 arrested three persons from Himachal Pradesh - teacher Rakesh Kumar, clerk Amit Sharma and support staff Ashok Kumar of DAV Centenary Public School in Una in connection with the leak of CBSE Class 12 Economics paper.
The woman, from Ferozepur in Punjab, was allegedly sent a copy of the leaked paper by Rakesh Kumar, the police said.
During interrogation, Rakesh revealed that he had also planned and executed the leak of class 10 mathematics paper. "But he later admitted to have picked up a Class 10 mathematics paper bundle as well", said deputy commissioner of police (crime) G Ram Gopal Naik.
Subsequently, she forwarded it to a relative in Panchkula (Haryana). HC had asked the Board to indicate by April 16 its plans, if any, to re-conduct the mathematics test for Class X, but the very next day, on April 3, CBSE issued a notification saying it would not conduct re-examination of the said paper. The police also arrested a woman in the leak of the CBSE class 10 Maths paper. The SIT found out that the Economics paper was leaked in handwritten format two days prior to the exam held on March 26.
