Friday... Snow likely in the morning, with a chance of rain in the afternoon. As I mentioned before, anywhere that stays fairly quiet Saturday morning will be more poised for thunderstorm activity Saturday afternoon and evening. A cold front will approach on Sunday morning and winds will increase.
Our northwestern parishes will see more of the widespread, stronger storms compared to our southeastern parishes. There is an isolated tornado threat, especially with any supercells that develop on the dry line and start to rotate. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s. Winds will turn breezy on Saturday with mostly quiet conditions through much of the day.
