Sony India on Monday unveiled a new line of audio products for 2018 with the launch of three wireless speakers and six different headphones.
The WF-SP700N, WI-SP600N, WI-SP500, WI-C300, WH-CH400 and WH-CH500 devices are enabled with one-touch connectivity, NFC and Bluetooth while WF-SP700N and WI-SP600N will get Google Assistant integration and optimisation with an update. The line-up has been expanded keeping in mind Sony's Extra Bass speaker growing popularity.
Sony claims the WF-SP700N is the word's first active noise cancelling earphone with a splash proof design. The noise cancellation can be turned on by using the the Ambient Sound mode. The headphone has an Apple AirPod like charging case that offers six hours of battery life alongside three hours from the headphone. It comes with Bluetooth version 4.1 and a 6mm driver unit. The three headphone models will be available from 15 May.
The WI-SP600N and the WI-SP500 are sports headphones with their earpieces connected by a neckband. The WF-SP700N is connected with Bluetooth v4.1 and will be available in Yellow and Black starting next month for an asking price of Rs 12,990. WI-C300, WH-CH400 and WH-CH500 One common feature among these three audio products is that they are compatible with Google assistant on a press of a button. The WH-CH400 is an on-ear headphone, comes with an in-line mic for hands-free calling, support for Google Assistant and up to 20 hours of battery backup. WI-C300 in-ear wireless headphones come in Black, Blue, Red, White colour options and will be available starting today at Rs 2,990.
In the affordable range, the WH-CH300 is priced at Rs 2,990, the WH-CH500 is priced at Rs 4,990 and the WH-CH400 is priced at Rs 3,790. They are also waterproof and dust proof with an IP67 rating, the user can now carry the speakers on the beach or at a pool party without worrying about damaging them. The speakers are enabled with "Party Booster" feature which enhances the beats and gives the party an extra boost, claims the company. They are said to deliver 24 hours of battery life. It has been priced at Rs. 9,990 and will be available from May 25. The SR-XB21 is priced at Rs 7,990, SRS-XB31 at Rs 9,990 and SRS-XB41 at Rs 13,990.
