In Nigeria, the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar, has advised Muslims to look out for the crescent moon on Wednesday, an indication the fasting will also start on Thursday.

The committee is set to meet after prayers on the evening of Tuesday, May 15, at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, WAM said. It will commence when the new crescent moon is spotted, which will be either Tuesday or Wednesday.
