Young Goalkeeper At Centre Of Red Card Controversy Releases Admirable Statement

A young goalkeeper was visibly heartbroken after he was sent off by the referee midway through a penalty shootout in the quarter-finals of the U17 European Championship.

Corcoran pulled off an impressive save to keep Holland's fifth and decisive spot-kick from Daishawn Redan out and to seemingly keep his side's hopes alive.

However, the referee deemed Corcoran to have moved off his line before the ball was struck and he ordered the penalty to be retaken.

But his moment of joy suddenly turned to shock as he received a second yellow card for a supposed infraction.
