E3 2018: Sony Reveal New Footage For Spider-Man

12 June 2018, 01:39 | Casey Mitchell

A brand new Spider-Man PS4 trailer has been released, with the web-slinger being showcased during the Sony E3 2018 event and hinting at the inclusion of the Sinister Six.

Spidey gets the crap beaten out of him before the trailer teases the reveal of one more villain.

The International House of Burgers
On Monday, it revealed the "b" is for burgers and the name change is temporary, part of a marketing ploy to launch a new menu. The restaurant took to Twitter promising fans they would never change their name to "Whatapancake".

The trailer opens on a stormy evening at The Raft, a supermax security facility.

When we last saw Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 at E3 2017, he was facing off against a figure we eventually learned was the old Marvel villain Mister Negative. Just as he's ready to focus on life as Peter, a new villain threatens New York City.

Halo Infinite announced for Xbox One, Windows 10
Of course, with the Xbox One X and the PlayStation 4 Pro upending the usual console cycle, all bets are off. It brings Undead Labs, Playground Games , Ninja Theory, and Compulsion Games into Microsoft Studios.

We also get an intense webswinging chase sequence with Electro that takes place on the outside of the Raft, with the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Guy narrowly dodging some intense electric blasts. Spidey has to deal with a breakout at The Raft, the Marvel Universe's prison for supervillains, and faces up to plenty of familiar foes, including The Scorpion, The Vulture, Rhino, Electro and relative newcomer Mr Negative.

Spider-Man is famous in part because his rogue's gallery is one of the best in comics. This week we're also letting everyone at the show swing around a section of our Manhattan, stopping crime, completing research tasks for Harry Osborn, infiltrating and shutting down enemy bases, and even coming face-to-face with Shocker himself in a climactic boss battle.
