The race to sign Milinkovic Savic takes an interesting turn

Real Madrid are lining up a staggering €150 million bid to beat Manchester United in the race to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.

It's likely that the midfielder will be loaned out, or perhaps even sold, this summer as Liverpool are set to be well-stocked with central midfield options ahead of next season.

But Milinkovic-Savic has played down any chance of a move before the World Cup, by saying he is focused on representing Serbia rather than his club future, which will be sorted after the tournament. Apart from his contribution in front of goal, the player also impressed with his defensive abilities, and his exploits have unsurprisingly caught the attention of some big clubs across Europe - the most prominent being Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Milinkovic-Savic has continuously denied reports linking him with a move to United.

According to the same story, Manchester United want to sign Milinkovic-Savic this summer but they are aware that Lazio value him at around £100m.

Jose Mourinho is still searching for another midfielder despite agreeing a fee for Brazil global Fred, with Marouane Fellaini likely to be off this summer.

Where do you think Milinkovic-Savic will be playing next season?

Florentino Perez is set to make some big changes to the Real Madrid squad this summer, with the squad set to be overhauled.

He'd enjoy star status at Old Trafford, whereas at the Santiago Bernabeu, he'll have to contend with Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos for game time.

What have Trump and Kim signed up to in historic meeting?
Washington is eager to see if the North's pledges were "sincere", Pompeo said, adding: "The US has been fooled before". They shook hands for several seconds, Trump reaching out to touch the North Korean leader on his right shoulder.

According to Il Messaggero newspaper and Spanish paper AS, the Blancos are prepared to offer €150m plus another €20m in performance-related bonuses.
