US President Donald Trump
He complained that he had been blindsided by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's criticism of his tariff threats at a summit-ending news conference.
"Kudlow accused Trudeau of making his comments for "domestic political consumption" and doing "a great disservice to the whole G7".'He really kind of stabbed us in the back, '" CNN reports.
Saturday, Trump summit pulled the USA endorsement of the summit communique - a joint statement that was signed by all the other G7 participants: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom.
Hayden added that the display reminded him of Sean Spicer lying about crowd sizes in a press briefing after Trump's inauguration: "He did it for personal survival", Hayden said. But Trump's latest counter-punch cast doubt on any hopes for a quick resolution of his mounting tariff disputes with Canada and the European Union, and signalled that Trump is far from backing down.

"We will also work with all members of this House to ensure that the response that our government takes to these unjustified and unreasonable tariffs is measured and proportionate".
The summit, the first hosted by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, is reported to have gone "smoothly", except in the eyes of Donald Trump who called his "U.S. reps" to back out on the stated agreements signed during the proceedings.
He said he felt deceived by Trudeau's referring to United States tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum as "insulting" and threatening to impose retaliatory penalties of his own.
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow and trade adviser Peter Navarro drove the message home in an extraordinary assault on a close USA ally and neighbour. And what did Trudeau do as soon as the plane took off from Canadian airspace? Mr. Trump is also slated to visit London next month for a meeting with Ms.
