Rose McGowan indicted on cocaine charge in Loudoun Co.
McGowan was not present in the courtroom and will not attend her trial Tuesday, local radio station WTOP reported.
The former Charmed star was slapped with felony possession of a controlled substance past year after authorities reportedly found two packets of cocaine in a wallet she left behind on a flight to Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia in January 2017.
McGowan pleaded not guilty to the charge, as she claims she had been without the wallet for five hours before getting it back, meaning anyone could have planted the drugs in the wallet.
Actress and activist Rose McGowan is set to go to trial in January in Loudoun County, Va., on a cocaine possession charge. If convicted, the 44-year-old could face up to 10 years in jail. McGowan had flown in for the Women's March on Washington that day.
'These charges would have never been brought if it weren't for her activism as a voice for women everywhere.
"There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia", she wrote. "I assure you, this selective prosecution will be met with a strong defence".
