Melissa Brunning prepares to feed the shark

A woman was dragged into crocodile-infested waters by a shark as she tried to feed it during her "once-in-a-lifetime" trip in northwest Australia.

Cameras capture the ill-advised Dugong Bay feeding and and Melissa Brunning, 34, can be heard screaming in panic as the nurse shark latches onto her finger and pulls her into the water.

Her friends were able to pull her back onto the boat.

Brunning said she did not realise that she should have left the piece of fish in front of her and watch the shark suck it up, instead of trying to hand-feed it.

At least 12 arrested after Whatsapp rumor sparks lynching of 5
Police in Telangana have issued warnings and have also arrested people who circulated false video messages online. The five were lynched after being suspected of being part of a gang of "child lifters' on Sunday".

The two-metre (6.6-foot) creature, which has strong jaws and rows of sharp teeth, sucked at her right index finger "like a Hoover (vacuum cleaner)", she told The West Australian late Saturday.

Brunning sustained cuts, a fracture, a torn ligament and a bad infection from the bite, but did not lose her finger.

"It happened so quickly, all I could really focus on was the fact that my finger is gone, he'd clamped on it and it felt like it was shredding off the bone", she told 7 News Perth. They'll usually keep to themselves but can bite or act defensively in the event that a human steps on or disturbs them.

"Just be mindful of your surroundings and don't feed sharks".

Lakers Sign Rondo, Lose Randle In Flurry Of Free Agency Moves
The Lakers gave him more opportunities to handle the ball in the open floor a year ago , and excelled in that role. Randle averaged a career-high 16.1 points and shot a career-best 55.8 percent from the field in 2017-18.

"I came up and I was like, "I've lost my finger".

Melissa says she was "lucky" and wants people to know that the shark bite incident was "completely my fault". "I'm not a shark victim..." I've always had the opinion that when you're in the water, they're top of the food chain, it's their domain.

"It was an unforgettable trip, I've got a cool story, a cool injury and I'll have a cool little scar, but I'm just grateful that it wasn't worse than what it was", she said.
