The photos are being sent out over the stock Samsung messaging app. You can probably use Android Messages or any other third party app. Simply open your Settings app, then hit Apps - Samsung Messages Permissions, and then revoke the Storage permission. It may be related to a recent T-Mobile profile update to the new RCS text-messaging format.
