While the video streaming change applies to all Xfinity Mobile subscribers, the slower hotspot speeds are only going into effect for those on the unlimited plan.
Tina Turner's son, Craig Turner, dies at 59
Little is known of Craig , who never followed his parents' footsteps into the entertainment business. Tina left Ike in 1976 and the latter continued to struggle with his drug addiction long after that.
There is a way to work around this for now, though. "Later this year, 720p video over cellular data will be available as a fee-based option with your service", Comcast told customers. "This update only affects video streaming over cellular data", the company wrote in a statement released to its Xfinity Mobile consumers. A Comcast spokesperson contacted us to let us know that Xfinity Mobile is setting its default video resolution to 480p for all users, so users will now have to call in for the ability to stream in 720p. If you're a pay-per-GB customer, though, mobile hotspot speeds will stay at 4G speeds.
One Comcast customer forwarded the email to Ars, and there's also a Reddit thread discussing the email. It's important to note that this change won't impact video resolution when using Wi-Fi, where customers will continue to be able to stream in HD. Comcast will also be placing a substantial restriction on the use of cellular hotspots, by replacing 4G hotspot speeds with 3G, 600kbps speeds.
Xfinity Mobile, Comcast's wireless reseller that used to offer one of the best unlimited plans on the market, just sent an email to customers warning them about upcoming changes to the plan. For everyone else, the company plans to roll out these changes in the coming weeks. By the Gig costs $12 for every whole gigabyte allocated.
Comcast is trying to convince customers that the new speed limits will be good for them.
The service now defaults all video to 480p resolution when streaming over cellular data. At this speed, you'll conserve data so that it takes longer to reach the 20 GB threshold but you'll still be able to do numerous online activities you enjoy.

White House declines to name Supreme Court candidates
Schumer said that while Democrats don't control the Senate - Republicans have a 51-49 edge - most senators back abortion rights. The 53-year-old Brett Kavanaugh, from Maryland, is the most explicitly partisan candidate and would be an incendiary pick.
