Benchmarks For MacBook Pro With Intel Coffee Lake CPU Appear Online
06 July 2018, 05:33 | Casey Mitchell
The 2018 Mac Book Pro is expected to look much like its predecessor. A faster processor is supposedly in the offing however
Hopefully, MacBook Pros with refreshed innards will come with other stand-out features as the current design is almost two-years-old. Interestingly, the multi-core score trumps the 15-inch model from a year ago, even though the Core i7-7920HQ should be a more powerful CPU, and the highest scoring 13-inch model was from mid-2017 with 9,553.
With these scores, the 13-inch 2018 rival might match the performance of last year's 15-inch Pro.
Based on the results found in Geekbench, it appears that this new 2018 machine packs an Intel Core i7-8559U Coffee LakeCPU that runs at 28W and is yet to appear in any shipping product.
The 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro employs an Intel Core i7-7567U. Benchmarks for a macOS laptop running a "Coffee Lake" chip showed up on Geekbench. So far, no other OEM has released a laptop in the market featuring the above mentioned Core i7 processor.
The benchmark shows the notebook achieving a single-core score of 4448 and a multi-core score of 16607, which is pretty decent and almost double the score of the 13-inch MacBook Pro from mid-2017. It also features Intel's fastest integrated graphics chip in history, the Intel Iris Plus 650.
"The current 13" 2017 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar from Apple scores around 4000 points in single and 9000 points in multi-core tests. The i7-8559U was created to be easily downclocked to 20W. The 13-inch variant earned a 4600 single-core score, and 9500 multi-core score. "Should Apple really launch the notebook this year, it is likely to reserve 32GB for the 15" variant as demonstrated by last month's benchmark listing. Indeed, this benchmarked model reports 16GB of onboard RAM.

Chris Brown arrested on out-of-county warrant after concert
He was held at the Palm Beach County jail for about an hour before he was released on $2,000 cash bond, the jail's website said. Brown has stayed out of the news for the most part recently, but reportedly just spent more than $350,000 on a bulletproof SUV.
