One Twitter user wrote: "I'm dancing so that they [the authorities] see and know that they can not take away our happiness and hope by arresting teenagers and (girls like) Maedeh".
Maedeh Hojabri had gathered thousands of followers on Instagram with videos of herself dancing to Iranian and Western pop music.
On Friday, state TV broadcast a video in which Hojabri acknowledges breaking moral norms while insisting that was not her intention.
It is not known whether her public statement of admission was made under duress. According to Shabooneh, a local news website, three other individuals were also released on bail after receiving similar charges.
Hossein Ronaghi, a blogger, said: "People would laugh at you if you tell anyone in the world that [in Iran] they arrest 17-year-olds and 18-year-olds for dancing, being happy and being lovely, for spreading indecency, and instead paedophiles are free".
Iran has already blocked access to many social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the Telegram messaging app.
Iran's judiciary and security forces are dominated by hard-liners who launch periodic crackdowns on behavior deemed un-Islamic.
In 2014 authorities sentenced six young men and women to suspended prison terms after they appeared in a video dancing to Pharrell Williams' song "Happy".
