Bihar Teen Raped For Months Allegedly By 18 Including Principal, Teachers

In a shocking incident, a minor girl accused her school principal, teachers and students of raping her for the last seven months. She said that firstly a fellow classmate raped her and made a video clip.

Police sources said an FIR had been registered in the case under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and the POCSO Act. "The 14 other accused are absconding". The school principal and a teacher of the school were arrested and two students have been detained on Friday. While speaking to reporters, Rai said the girl kept quiet over the past eight months fearing social stigma and ostracisation.

The Bihar Police on Friday arrested the principal, a teacher and two students after the girl, in her complaint to the police, said that she was blackmailed and gang-raped.

The principal and a teacher along with four students were arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing the girl, Superintendent of Police (Saran) Harikishore Rai told PTI. She then went to the police stations and filed a complaint against the culprits. The Saran police took two more named accused into custody on Saturday in connection with the case.

In the complaint, the girl claimed that she was being blackmailed and being sexually assaulted since her father was jailed in December 2017. The family alleged that the police first refused to register her complaint but deliver up when they threatened to approach the senior officials. The police complaint further stated that 15 students from her school blackmailed and sexually abused her after they got to know that her father was hailed in December previous year.

Police sent the girl for a medical check-up and started a search for the other accused. A medical board was formed as well for better investigation of the case. Along with the headmaster, teacher Balaji and two minor students were also held.
