7th Accuser: 'Jim Jordan definitely knew that these things were happening'

A Republican Congressman Is Accused of Ignoring Sexual Abuse. Now He's Attacking His Accusers.

Amid mounting allegations that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) ignored widespread allegations of sexual abuse at Ohio State, Jordan took to Fox News on Friday evening to defend himself - and to attack the former wrestlers who allege he turned a blind eye to the abuse they suffered.

"We request that the Office of Congressional Ethics conduct a preliminary inquiry into whether Rep. Jordan is making false statements about his knowledge of whether members of the Ohio State wrestling team were being sexually abused by the team doctor during the time he was an assistant coach of the team", the complaint reads. We all worked on the wrestling coaching staff during Jim's tenure at The Ohio State University.

"Either seven former student wrestlers who were under the supervision of Rep. Jordan are all lying or Rep. Jordan is lying", said Wertheimer.

Jordan was assistant wrestling coach from 1986 to 1994.

Eisen already has dubbed the case Wrestlegate. The well-being of student-athletes was all of our concern. "There is - there never was abuse reported to me, and if there was we would have dealt with it", the congressman said.

He ended the statement by reaffirming his support for Jordan.

Britain opens murder case on woman dead from Russian nerve agent
Police had cordoned off six sites in Amesbury and Salisbury, both in the southern English county of Wiltshire. British police say a woman who was exposed to the nerve agent Novichok in southern England has died.

President Donald Trump has also dismissed questions about Jordan.

Hellickson has not returned messages left by The Associated Press.

"Perkins Coie boasts a client roster that includes the DNC, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and several Democrat Members of Congress", he said in the statement. Jordan was also the chair of the Republican Study Committee - a socially conservative group of Republican legislators - after the 2010 GOP wave. "It was definitely inappropriate", he told The Washington Post on Monday.

Another wrestler told NBC that he, too, had told Jordan what happened.

"It was there. He knew about it because it was an everyday occurrence", Range told the Post. The team's former doctor, Richard Strauss, is accused of showering with and inappropriately touching players.

"It's way more likely that [he] didn't know than did know", the former wrestler said. Two of those wrestlers - Michael DiSabato and Shawn Dailey - confirmed those reports to The Dispatch.

Ten killed in Turkish train accident
Two train drivers were summoned for questioning by police on Monday over the accident, state news agency Anadolu reported . A passenger train has derailed in northwest Turkey, leading to deaths and injuries, according to local media reports.

"I think it tells us that Congressman Jordan is in such a strong position to be the new Speaker of the House", she says, "that's why they must stop him". More than 150 people have been interviewed in the course of the investigation, which is ongoing, according to Perkins Coie. "No, everybody didn't know".

The former wrestler says that Hellickson and Jordan had to have known about Strauss' actions because wrestlers would talk about it openly "in the locker room, on the buses, during practice". Mike DiSabato, a former wrestler with the school, accused Jordan of "absolutely lying if he says he doesn't know what was going on".

Fury said, 'He has not been contacted by investigators about the matter but will assist them in any way they ask, because if what is alleged is true, the victims deserve a full investigation and justice'. Larkins was home to intramural activities as well as the wrestling team, which moved to the Steelwood Athletic Training Facility. "He would do anything to protect us".

"Our family was shocked and saddened to hear the allegations of misconduct against the late Dr. Richard H. Strauss", the family said in an emailed statement to The Post. Jordan, founder of the conservative Freedom Caucus and potential contender for House speaker, denies that and has said he and other coaches would have reported any alleged abuse brought to their attention.

"There's no way unless he's got dementia or something that he's got no recollection of what was going on at Ohio State", Coleman told the Wall Street Journal.
