Thai cave rescue sees four more boys freed

Thailand cave rescue: Eight boys pulled out, five still to be saved as operation ends for the day
To date, each rescued boy has been escorted through the labyrinthine cave by two divers, each of them holding an oxygen tank that feeds to the survivor's mask.
Thai authorities said the four boys rescued from the cave are hungry but in good health. Relief is starting to break the tension that's built over more than two weeks. Furthermore, by drinking the cave water - even if they licked water dripping from the walls and didn't drink water on the ground - the boys could have contracted lots of bacteria that could also cause gastrointestinal problems. Numerous boys do not know how to swim.
Complex and narrow, the system is not dissimilar to the caves being navigated by rescue divers in Thailand.
Before resuming the rescue Monday, officials said they hoped to free all the boys by the end of the day, according to ABC News.
After rescuing the four boys, the officials paused the operation for at least 10 hours to fill the oxygen tanks that were used.

Gorsuch, who worked at the Justice Department in 2005 and 2006, had a smaller set of executive branch documents for review. It has already reserved another four weeks of airtime nationally and in the four states, the group said.
As rescuers began a daring extraction of the boys and their coach from the cave over the weekend, Musk said he had sent a "kid-size submarine" to the country to assist in the massive rescue effort.
The process includes a mixture of walking, wading, climbing and diving along guide ropes already in place.
The 18 experienced divers have gathered from the United Kingdom, United States, China, Australia, Japan, Laos and Myanmar.
The boys had a good appetite but were mainly being given bland, easily digestible foods.

They pumped out water from the cave, reducing water levels by 30 centimetres.
Authorities have been rushing to extract the boys, ages 11-16, and their coach from the cave as monsoon rains bore down on the mountainous region in far northern Chiang Rai province.
Meanwhile, health experts said they would conduct a check-up of the boys on parameters like oxygen, malnutrition, dehydration, post-traumatic stress, and other psychological effects. He had apparently been scouted by several Thai professional clubs. The parents were told there will be "no hugging or touching the boys" until after results of blood tests come back.
A video published by the Thai PBS channel earlier on Monday also showed a person on a stretcher - most likely the first boy to be rescued on Monday - being transferred to a helicopter. When the missing soccer team was located on July 2, rescue medics who reached them evaluated all the boys and their coach and divided them into three categories: red for critical condition, yellow for serious condition and green for stable condition.
Aged between 11 and 17, they belong to a football club called the Wild Boars, and became trapped during an excursion with their coach. They were found more than a week later, stuck on a small muddy patch deep in the cave's network of chambers. 4.08pm: The BBC has released an infographic on how the boys and their football coach are being rescued.
