Wimbledon 2018: Roger Federer bagels and beats Adrian Mannarino

Wimbledon- Monday Schedule Federer Nadal Djokovic Williams to play

Federer needed just 16 minutes to win the opening set in a 6-0, 7-5, 6-4 defeat of Mannarino to reach his 16th Wimbledon quarter-final.

Like a vintage Rolls Royce, Federer cruised into the last eight for a mind-boggling 16th time with another imperious centre-court display at The All England Club.

One more straight-sets win would have Federer eclipsing his previous longest streak at the All England Club, when he won 34 sets in a row between the third round in 2005 and the 2006 final.

In the first set when Federer led 2-0, he just defended a return from the Frenchman. "It was a good win but it was tougher than the scoreline to be honest". So it's really cool. "You can be a mom, you can still play tennis and you can still be great". Rafael Nadal, too, has looked awesome on the other side of the draw.

Combined with reaching the fourth round at Roland Garros last month, Anderson believes he possesses both the game and now the experience that can trouble the eight-time Wimbledon champion on grass.

Since seeds were introduced in the 1920s, it's the first time none of the top-10 have reached the women's quarterfinals at Wimbledon.

Woman dependent on oxygen tank dies after company cuts power
The family called paramedics who showed up with a portable oxygen tank. "She was trying to catch her breath". A day late and a dollar short, the power company turned on Daniels' electricity one day after she died.

The Spaniard hit back immediately though and sealed victory on his third match point when Vesely served at 4-5. She beat the ninth-seeded Williams in the third round after coming from a break down in the third set. He was gifted a first-week stroll as pleasant as a walk on Wimbledon Common and begins the fourth round on Centre Court at 1pm against Adrian Mannarino.

The world number two has also now not dropped serve since the semi-finals a year ago.

Elsewhere in fourth round action, Dominika Cibulkova launched a scathing attack on Wimbledon's officials after a line call controversy marred her 6-4, 6-1 win against Taiwan's Hsieh Su-Wei. After the review confirmed the ball landed on the line, umpire Juan Zhang of China awarded the point to Cibulkova.

He added: 'There's a good chance it's going to come down to a few points here and there.

After seven minutes, the decision was finally changed and the point replayed.

The 28-year-old Nishikori is the first Japanese man to reach the quarterfinals at Wimbledon since Shuzo Matsuoka in 1995. Nadal then plays Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic.

Johnny Depp Sued By Crew Member For Alleged Assault On Set
The lawsuit also claims that the crewmember was sacked when he refused to sign papers saying he wouldn't sue over the incident. Rocky is suing for an unspecified amount and claims that Johnny reeked of alcohol while he was attacking him.

Nadal, a two-time champion at the All England Club, has yet to drop a set in this tournament.

So it's no wonder that Tsisipas, now 19 and one of the game's emerging stars, made a point of rewatching Federer's 2001 match against Sampras last week, the night before making his debut in Wimbledon's main draw.

He could not sustain that pace but was never seriously threatened in a 6-0 7-5 6-4 victory that sets up a meeting with either Gael Monfils or Kevin Anderson.

With Kevin Anderson taking nearly three and a half hours to tame French showman Gael Monfils in the previous match, Djokovic knew he had about two hours of daylight left if he wanted to avoid coming back on Tuesday's rest day to finish off the contest.

Stefanos Tsitsipas can make history by becoming the first Greek player - man or woman - to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final if he beats U.S. ninth seed John Isner.
