"Hooyah, Hooyah, Hooyah", the Thai navy SEALs, who worked with an worldwide team of 18 divers to execute the rescue mission, wrote in a Facebook post.
Twelve boys and their football coach who were trapped in a cave in northern Thailand for more than a fortnight have been rescued in an unprecedented three-day mission that had all the features of a blockbuster film. "They are getting forced to do something that no kid has ever done before", Ivan Karadzic, a diver involved with the rescue mission told BBC.
"The 12 Wild Boars and coach have emerged from the cave and they are safe", the Thai navy SEAL unit said on its official Facebook page.
Much of the journey to the cave's entrance was through freezing, muddy water that proved challenging for even the Thai Navy SEAL divers.
The Thai Navy SEALs said they still were waiting on four SEAL personnel to come out of the cave after they stayed with the boys on a dry shelf inside the flooded cave. "We hope for good news in the next few hours", Mr Narongsak said at about 3pm.
Staff previously said their first assessments would focus on the boys' breathing and signs of hypothermia, as well as a potentially fatal lung infection known as cave disease.
Shortly after the full rescue was announced, President Donald Trump sent a congratulatory message.
It comes after he posted photos from inside the Tham Luang Cave in Chiang Rai on the final day of rescue operations. Technology billionaire Elon Musk went into the cave on Monday and left the rescue team with a "kid-sized" submarine his company SpaceX had built, Thailand's interior Minister Anupong Paochinda said.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected".
The disappearance, discovery and rescue of the Wild Boars soccer team has gripped people all over the world.

The outlet reported that eight boys remain inside the cave. "From what I've seen in the clip, they did look skinny", he said. Relatives said the boys had been inside the labyrinthine complex during the dry season.

Trump administration freezes risk adjustment payments
Eventually, experts say, some insurers could simply get fed up and exit ObamaCare markets, leading to fewer choices for consumers. The agency says the court ruling also prevents it from collecting additional risk-adjustment funds until the issue is resolved.
