A little before 5pm local time (10am GMT) a fifth boy was reported rescued after a six-hour operation.
After the ambulance was seen leaving the complex at around 5 p.m. Monday, a helicopter took off.
A source at the hospital said that five emergency response doctors were awaiting the party and a further 30 doctors were on stand-by, adding that everyone was feeling tense.
"All conditions are still as good as they were yesterday", Chiang Rai acting Governor Narongsak Osatanakorn said tonight.

Once rescued the boys are expected to head straight to hospital in Chiang Rai town for further evaluations.
